Our Volunteers

Springbrook Church is only able to do ministry because of the dozens of dedicated and servant-hearted volunteers among us. Everything from the nursery, to the music, to youth and children’s ministry is staffed by folks who generously give their time and skills to the work of the Lord.

Our Elder Team

The elders of Springbrook Church are a team of pastors (some on staff and some volunteer) who serve the church by leading the church in areas of doctrine, direction, and discipleship. Our current Elder Team is Thom Desmond and Sam Wickersheim.

Our Staff

Thom DESmond - Lead Pastor

Pastor Thom planted Springbrook Church in 2010 and he is the primary leader responsible for preaching, teaching, and the direction of the church. He earned his BA in Pastoral Studies from the Moody Bible Institute and was ordained to pastoral ministry in 2007. He earned his Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2019. He and his wife, Crystal, have two boys.

Aaron kulas - ministry intern

Aaron will be joining the staff team at Springbrook as our Ministry Intern in September 2026. He is taking this year with us to discern his calling and use the gifts that God has given him to serve the local church. His primary areas of responsibilities are leading congregational worship through music and serving within our kids and youth ministries.
