Our Elder Team

The elders of Springbrook Church are a team of pastors (some on staff and some volunteer) who serve the church by leading the church in areas of doctrine, direction, and discipleship. Our current Elder Team is Thom Desmond, Duane Thiele, and Sam Wickersheim.

Our Staff

Thom DESmond - Lead Pastor

Pastor Thom planted Springbrook Church in 2010 and he is the primary leader responsible for preaching, teaching, and the direction of the church. He earned his BA in Pastoral Studies from the Moody Bible Institute and was ordained to pastoral ministry in 2007. He earned his Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2019. He and his wife, Crystal, have two boys.

Duane Thiele - children’s ministry coordinator

Duane serves Springbrook Church as an elder and our part-time children’s ministry coordinator. He has nearly 40 years of experience working in children’s ministries in a variety of churches and earned his BA in Youth Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In this role, Duane oversees our ministries for kids from birth - 6th grade.
